Bio
Imprint is the experimental, electronic art of London based Sin.
Her debut show was at The Junction – Bristol in June 2008, swiftly followed by further U.K dates.
Shortly after Sin then went onto her first US tour, starting at Conflux Dark Arts Festival (Portland Oregon) passing through San Francisco, and finishing in Hollywood L.A. in October
IMPRINT.. live, is an experience all of its own...and it’s only here you will fully grasp all that is..IMPRINT.... both shut off and open to all…
Respected both as a vocalist and an artist, the requests to work with her and alongside her continue to flood in.
About
The Debut Album - The Wisdom Out Of The Wound - was Officially released 1st May 2009!
Outstanding reviews are starting to come in now!
There are only 100 hand-made albums made...so get one whilst you can!
The C.D comes in a metal tin.
It is then placed inside a satin bag, which will be either dark blue or scarlet red.
This is then tied up with ribbons and string and things..
Along with this comes a little envelope..inside there you will find a handmade booklet, which will be personally addresed to you...and will have track listing etc etc etc and will be hand numbered.
There will also be a little postcard thing.
And it should smell of me..strange...but true...just a little experiment i'm trying.
Bear in mind that as these are hand-made it's pretty time consuming...i will get them out to you ASAP...
So there you have it...Thankyou all for being patient!
And spread the word!!!
"Sent shivers up my spine..Made my hairs stand on end...Haunting..Good...Very good! " Peter Hook (Joy Division/New Order)
"Siren-voiced goth-tronica" NME
..." The mixture of attitude meeting sparse electronica and samples that sometimes crush and caress along with Sin's voice is what brings back the memories… Where could I place Imprint to give people some kind of an idea what to expect? Not in any category but amongst such people as Fad Gadget and Joy Division, Magazine and Killing Joke and Portishead, in a little world of her own, dark but in many ways life-affirming." Bob Bloke - The Junction - Bristol
" lush, gothic-tinged strings, bells and piano over a stark framework of distorted industrial loops and apocalyptic sound effects. At the centre of all this was an impassioned vocal performance. Sin makes virtuoso use of the change between her 'head' and 'chest' voices..." ...Sound on Sound Magazine
" Mistress of her signature brand of thoughtful, moody electronic experimentalism. Imprint are clearly going places "... AMO Promotions
