BIOGRAPHY:
iLL iNTELLEKs are a Burlington-based hip hop duo made up of rapper/producer Image (Andrew Weins) and DJ/producer/vocalist Blindog P Star (Peter Alsen). They are most noted for their complex instrumental production and intellectual approach to hip hop music. They have shared the stage with Sol.illaquists of Sound, Ivan Ives, DJ G.I. Joe, Tableek of Maspyke, Planet Asia, & DJ Hoppa as well as hip-hop icons Lyrics Born and KRS-One. The pair began collaborating in the group Dark Cloud, formed in 2002 and opened for many underground heavyweights such as Devin The Dude, RA The Rugged Man, Cunninlynguists, Josh Martinez, Mr. Lif, Swollen Members, Jedi Mind Tricks, Gym Class Heroes, and The Pharcyde. Firm believers in freedom of sound and public domain, the duo have many of their professional recordings online for free download. They are currently recording a mixtape and EP at the infamous Burlington Factory Studios.
