“Ill Hollow Chamber releases “Declaration of the Diseased” on Friday
Essentially, the record that Ill Hollow Chamber will be releasing on Friday at Papa Pete’s has been four years in the making.
And finally, the Kalamazoo metal band will be releasing the long-awaited full length album “Declaration of the Diseased”.
“We believe this is the most creative, explosive and heaviest album we have ever made and if you are a person that loves to bang their head to a whole album, well, buy ours and you will,” said vocalist CJ Drewyor.
Ill Hollow Chamber will be accompanied by , Life’s Inner Evil and Neqriem in what promises to be a packed and energetic show.
The band – comprised of Dustin Middaugh, Ben Edmonds, Brian Parsons and Drewyor – started recording the album in late October of last year with SZ Recordings in Jonesville. Ill Hollow Chamber won’t just be selling stuff to simulate the ears, but also the eyes.

“Drewyor has been collecting comic books since he was 6 said he owns about 3,000 comics. The track “Metal Breeds Violence” is, in part, inspired by Hulk and what happens when anger gets the best of you, he said.
The band will also release a DVD with the album. It contains live performances and scenes of the recording of “Declaration.”
“We wanted to give people a glimpse of that and what this band is all about performance-wise,” Drewyor said.

Kalamazoo gazette Continued
“Ill Hollow Chamber has been around for seven years, but about four with the current lineup with Drewyor joining at the end of ’05/early ’06.
Drewyor, 23, penned the lyrics to “Declaration,” which he said touches on venting your frustration, people doubting the band, the bad economy, the thirst for power causing destruction around the world and even a few comic book references here and there. Drewyor said he sings what people want to say when they’re angry but don’t.
“It’s everything I’ve felt, everything that’s inspired me — life in general and everything the band has been through,” Drewyor said of the album that was produced by Sz Productions, of Jonesville.

“metal band Ill Hollow Chamber addresses anger, power grabs and economy on new album
Ill Hollow Chamber frontman C.J. Drewyor doesn’t mince words on the Kalamazoo/Battle Creek metal band’s first album in five years.
Drewyor’s piercing vocals open the track, “Relinquish”: “Killing everyone,” he screams.
“I’ve been through a lot in my life,” Drewyor said. “I have a lot of anger and frustration in my life. I’ve been in trouble with that and I try to let it out through the music ... It makes for a really great song, it really pumps up people and gets them going.”
The band — Drewyor, guitarist Ben Edmonds, drummer Dustin Middaugh and bassist Brian PaRsons — will release the new album, “Declaration of the Diseased,” starting at 7 p.m. Friday at Papa Pete’s, 502 S. Burdick St., with support from Headcase, Jet Black New Year, Neqriem and Life’s Inner Evil. Admission is $5 in advance, $7 at the door.

“All I can say is "bang your head" and bang it hard! This band made the crowd come alive with their tight set of originals. Their live performance makes all your emotions stir inside and scream out for physical release. I think I've found another favorite. I highly recommend checking them out, and suggest booking them on a future show with your band if you need a slot filled. Ill Hollow Chamber is a name you won't forget when the night's over. ~ MICHIGAN MUSIC MAGAZINE
