“Beachcomberland. I Like I Like has been taking over stages in Destin, Fort Walton Beach, even DeFuniak Springs. “The local scene only thrives off the people who go to the shows,” says Turner, who has successfully been putting on DIY shows in DeFuniak Springs for the last three years. This will include a show to kick off the band’s upcoming tour July 11. “I Like I Like stands for a couple things, one of which is to do what you want,” says Turner. “We don’t get on stage because we have to or because we are obligated to somebody. We get on stage because it’s the only thing that we want to do. “We want people to take away a great experience, and we do our best to put on the most intense show that a pop-punk band possibly can. We put our heart into everything we do, and we hope people see that and respect that.””

“Q: If there was a huge festival in America or out of the states you’d like to play, which would it be and why? Chris Riot: Oh. Warped Tour, hands down!!! There is just nothing in the world like it. Billy Jones: Probably Reading Fest in England. I’d love to play on the same stage Brody Dalle did. Brandon Turner: Riot Fest. Usually, most of my biggest influences are on their bill. Kenneth Ittig: South By So What. Why, you ask? Who doesn’t want to spend the day out in the hot sun holding a sign that says “Come see my band!” I Like I Like: As a group, we feel that we are most appropriate for Warped Tour and Riot Fest. Q: After you play a show, where is a place you love to go out to eat? I Like I Like: Brandon makes us go to McDonalds. We don’t have a choice. Q: Against your will no matter what? Brandon Turner: Yes. Billy Jones: Once, Kenneth convinced us to go to Waffle House. Chris Riot: Brandon doesn’t remember.”
