International SA singer, songwriter, producer & actor IKE MORIZ has recently embarked on a journey into the Jazz/Swing world & reemerges with a trilogy of new albums entitled “STARDUST”, “BODY & SOUL” & "ANGEL EYES” (2009) feat. SA saxophonist W.v.Zyl & UK pianist A.McPike. The 1st 2 albums have been released online. Ike is drawing from his early Jazz studies in Europe to bring you a feast of gems from the Jazz/Swing songbook. The Capetonian received wide acclaim for his previous 3 rock albums & his original songs were played in 17 countries. He also acted in many major feature films such as ‘Alfie’, ‘& ‘Love Actually’, while also appearing on SABC'sTOP BILLING & BACKSTAGE, as well as UK series ‘Eastenders’ & ‘The Bill’...

Ike is currently busy recording a trilogy of new
albums (the "Stardust-Trilogy": his 4th, 5th & 6th studio album). The first 2 have just been completed and are within the Swing/Jazz genre. They will be called "Stardust" http://cdbaby.com/cd/ikemoriz5) and "Body & Soul"(http://cdbaby.com/cd/ikemoriz4). The third one will be called 'Angel Eyes'.
Ike is also busy recording his next Indie Pop/Rock album entitled "Breathing Dreams". So, you can

IKE MORIZ INFO:
International SA Indie Pop star and actor IKE MORIZ (Cosmopolitan hot talent) has returned from London where he recorded parts of his 3rd studio album entitled “ALL AROUND THE WORLD”. The hot new 12 track CD includes a remix of Ike’s hit ‘STILL’ produced by hip London producer Max Bravo in collaboration with George Michael’s producer Steve Kent. ‘The Darkness’ session guitarist Jim Barnes has written the opening song for this album. All other songs were as usual written and produced by Ike Moriz himself.
The 1st single to hit the airwaves in 2008 will be the powerful & rebellious freedom anthem "All Around the World".
Further single releases are planned for late 2008: Firstly the bowie-esque "Killing Games" & at the end of the year, the beautifully elegant, 'Xmassy' love-ballad-duet "STARRY NIGHT". It features the gifted 5FM DJ & top SA TV celebrity ELANA AFRIKA. Further singles are: the cheeky, Reggae-like "I'll be your man" and the spacey 'Pink-Floydian' "All Your Heroes Are Dead". Other songs include the deeply dramatic, philosophical & angst driven "Whereof one cannot speak"; the tragic Buddhism inspired love poem "Always You (Samsara)"; the romantic and edgy "Watching the Sun"; the optimistic 'feel-good' "Anything You Want" as well as the dark & beautifully deranged “Bite The Dog”.
Ike Moriz explores a wide range of different emotions and stylistic elements while staying true to his original energetic brand of colourful, melodic, catchy & enigmatic British Pop/Rock reflecting the life of an inspired modern artist living at the southernmost point of Africa.

Ike Moriz’s 2nd album & single PLAY ME has topped radio charts nation-wide (5FM, Highveld Stereo, OFM, etc.).
The music videos from the PLAY ME album (UK) set a new standard of SA music video production & were filmed with top models Lisa-Marie Schneider (Cosmo, FHM) & Lilian Ndlovu.
The single I FEEL REAL was also released on the MK89 ‘Hoordosis’ CD in Jan’07.
The jet-setting, self-made indie pop star, sponsored by Cape City Volkswagen & YDE fashion designers ‘Trigger’ & ‘Billionaire’, has been all over SA media including interviews on TOP BILLING (SABC3), SHOWBIZ REPORT (E-TV), JIP (MK89), FREE SPIRIT (SABC3), Backstage (E-TV) & MORNING EDITION (E-TV) & more.
Ike appeared in newspapers & magazines nationwide (ELLE (03/07), Cosmo-politan (Hot Talent 08/06), GQ(07/06), FHM (03/06), Argus, People & Heat magazine, Drum, Kaap Rapport, The Star, Volksblad, Die Burger & The Citizen! He has since toured SA with fantastic response.
His song HEY, HEY-HEY, HEY was used for “FHM Sexiest Woman in the World 2006-The Movie”(07/06).
He recently took part in a recording of “Greatest Love” with 13 SA celebs to raise funds for the ‘Differently Abled Children’ initiative.
Ike also played the prestigious summer sunset concert in Kirstenbosch in March 2007.
PLAY ME hit the shelves in 01/06: SELECT Music Distribution, SHEER Publishing & Mosquito Records London.

Rock legend David Bowie himself voted Ike’s songs as top song of the month on his web site!
‘South Africa’s own indie pop idol’ (The Citizen, Cape Argus) studied music and acting in South Africa, Germany and Holland after a jet-setting childhood.
The singer, actor, producer and songwriter spent 5 years in London, fronting rock bands, performing in musicals and running his own label Mosquito Records London, before returning to his favorite country SA at the end of 2005.
