About
Atlanta’s music scene has given the world some of Hip Hop’s Elite Artist. With the path blazed by heavy weights like Outkast and T.I., new artist Cheddah Boy is looking to bring that same balance to the game – and he has some stories to tell. His clean flow mixed with his gritty & everyday facts make him a fortified contender to keep the torch burning in the music industry.
Born in Milwaukee, WI to Mississippi immigrants, Cheddah Boy’s stage name came after realizing what better way to represent the cheese state and money while at the same time catchy enough to represent him in his entirety. His life story has been personal and Cheddah Boy has had his involvement in his share of things, some which he states, “he’s not proud of”, 'I remember they use to stare, roll their eyes, take breathes of dismay, disgust & anger. (laughs) I was a trouble maker, rabble-rouser, a problem, a person to shun, abase, disgraced and needed to be stopped. I lived the life, dirty danced with death, played the system, grinded with the best and made it out the game, but all of this is what makes me Cheddah Boy'. The promising artist left Milwaukee’s north side to pursue his dreams of becoming the next artist to leave his mark on this great thing we've all grown to know and love called hip hop!
Cheddah Boy has been working alongside some of the hottest producers and engineers in Atlanta such as Jan Nerud of SoundLab Studios to his 'new home' with Big Ron and FatBoi Beats at the hit making 'House of Slam' where magic is made and billboard charts are topped for the likes of Gucci Mane, OJ da Juice, Remi, Ying Yang Twinz, DG Yola, J Money, Jeezy and many many others. Cheddah Boy scored his first major success when he penned The Street Anthem “Hell of a Life" from his N.B.A release.
Cheddah Boys influences include family and friends, growin up without a father present and not to mention a list of life experiences that could easily be portrayed in a motion picture.
Music was always in Cheddah Boys life, he once had a dream of becoming the top Dj in the midwest but like so many of our youth was sidetracked but steered back on path. He states 'I thought music was out it was'nt something I wanted to do anymore, but after going to the studio with my cousin PartyBoi Woods things started to change, it was the higher powers way of saving me from the streets, I have a few regrets, but I was adamant about surviving. I am thankful for not having to live that double life anymore and I plan on giing back in so many ways if im ever given the chance.
Joinig forces with the already successful Atlanta movement Cheddah Boy is looking forward to releasing his debut album in early 2010.
