About
Imagine Rage Against The Machine, Soundgarden, Audioslave, Stone Temple Pilots, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Led Zeppelin in a ‘Gods of Rock’ jam session and you could envision the essence of Hybrid Dawn. Now think of four band members so captivating, both individually and as a unit, that their on & off-stage antics could be the basis for a hit reality show. Each of the band members’ personalities are bonded by a common vision to create ‘classically modern’, ageless music that invokes involuntary head-bobbing. Inspired by iconic artists yet geared towards the future of music, Hybrid Dawn feeds the masses by chewing up varied genres and spitting out its unique, sonic-signature blend of “Heavy Rock Groove”.
Hybrid Dawn began as four separate dudes from four corners of the world, nevertheless with the same calling in life. Their diverse paths in life & music led them to the mecca - New York City, where the musical melting pot would be stirred. The band’s members each bring their own dimension to the group's collective core. Shon Mohsin (Bangladeshi-American) fronts Hybrid Dawn with ruggedly intense vocals and socially conscious subject matter. Tony Cortes (Puerto Rican-American) provides the nasty guitar riffs that are the meat and potatoes of the band's musical stew. The hard-hitting yet intricate punch of Eric Applegate (Caucasian/Filipino-American) on the drums keeps the band churning while Pablo Furtado (Brazilian) holds it down with spicy & moody harmonic bass lines.
Regardless of backgrounds, Hybrid Dawn advocates music as blind of race, color and creed. They are the embodiment of being American, yet their diversity and odes of self-empowerment can speak to hearts and minds worldwide. In sum, these boys form an upstart, energetic, young-blooded modern rock band with a genre-melding, socially inquisitive sound & hard-hitting groove. This lethal combination makes Hybrid Dawn a powerful force as it schemes to wreak world recognition and domination . . .
