Emboldened by the success of their single and music video for ‘I Tried’, Cliff Cobain and Kurt Burton embarked on cross-country joy rides of epic proportions. So what do they have to say? NOTHING! Literally.
Described as capturing the Nashville lol cats fighting the law and “keep[ing] it real in the mean streets of Nashville,” the clip — for sing-songy, bravado-rife “Na Na Na” — is an apparent commentary on the day’s nation-sweeping Occupy movement. H2L’s alternative: Occupy Nowhere.
Set in an off-Lower Broadway parking lot — hey, that’s somewhere ... just sayin’ — the clip shows the band leading a blank-sign-brandishing picket line of mock protesters in a nihilistic political jam session. ”
