Three things that I learned, each one in its season
Two I took to heart, one beggars reason
There’s a woman I mean to know, her heart is like a flower
Opens with the light of day, changes by the hour

The world’s all that is the world, its everything it seems
The wonder of its everywhere, it surges like the sea
I hear her speak of emptiness, I don’t know what that means
The fullness of it all brings me to my knees

She’s a mystery to me now
I ride the ebb and flow
I could sink without a sound
That’s one thing that I know
