My Life as a Musician started when I was 7 years old. I couldn't read Musical Notation, but I could hear the chords, over time, and began to peice certain patterns together. Wasn't any Elton John or Ray Charles, but I was getting the hang of it.
A Few years later, 5 to be exact, I got my 1st Computer. It was an old 80×286 with DOS. I found a few programs, one called Adlib Composer, I recon they came with the Adlib Sound Cards back in the day. I must've spent 1 or 2 years playing with that program, making simple yet fun little beats and medleys.
2 years later I found Win Jammer 3.1 ... MIDI Sequencing Software. So began my journey into Soundfonts, and my advancement in Music Composition began to rise ever so quickly. I must have spent nearly 10 years using WinJammer 3.1 to make my Music. I had only breifly heard about Fruity Loops, but was reluctant to use Fruity Loops because I thought it was one of those Auto-Generation programs like Band-In-A-Box... Pffft. Using BIAB is denying you the chance to improve your talents.
I only went for Fruity Loops when versions 6 and 7 came out... I like Version 6, it was really great. My Talents in Music started to skyrocket even faster when I learned how powerfull Fruity Loops really was. When FL Studio 7 came out, I nearly had an Anxiety Attack, at the idea that I wanted it so badly. Well now, I have it and every Sample you see here, I've made using FL 6 & 7. And there is NO WAY I am ever going back to using that old-school WinJammer. With the addition of Toxic 3 and Poizone plugins for FL 7, I've found so many ideas and areas I could venture into that my path as a Musician is FAR from being over.
Aside from all the inspirations of the Music Composition Software, I also had my inspirations from certain Music Internet Radio Stations... One Major and my most Favorite Station, is RadioIO.com where they host over 30 Channels of different Genre of Music ... My Favorite being Ambient, Beats and Instrumental. I listen to that every night, and get ideas for some of my future creations from other Ambient & Electronica Artist works. Plus, those channels are just very relaxing. I can Fall Asleep and Wake Up to the Ambient Channel every day for the rest of my life and be in Heaven... that is how much I am head-over-heels for Ambient Music.
BUT THAT IS NOT ALL!
I absolutely love to Remix old Songs from Classic Console Games like NES and SNES. 2 of my Projects were Terras' Piano from Chrono Trigger and Gau from Final Fantasy 3. You can find these in the Samples Section. I have also taken rememberances from the old classic, Wolfenstein 3D and added my own little flare and ideas to it. I've played with rememberances of DooM and DooM 2 and I am still going to keep on going, because that is my passion, and what I have here is a way to share with everyone my passion for music, and hopefully they would feel the same way I do.
I hope to become one of those big-shot composers one day, making music for big-time movies... making big money. But until that day arrives, you can expect to find me here, at Hotokegi Music Portfolio, tyring to make myself known and build a foundation for success in the future. That success comes from fans of my music. Constructive Criticism from my fans is my best friend ... helping me get better at what I do, and thus giving you all a more enjoyable experience.
