Q: What inspires you to write music?

A: Everything and Nothing. Since I can remember, I've had a soundtrack playing in my head. The last five to ten years, it leaks out. I walk around humming virtually all the time. A friend remarked "that must be the longest song ever". I said "what?" He replied, "whatever song it is you are humming". I try to not hum in public. Infrequently, I write songs as a technician without specific inspiration but by setting a specific task (or set) for myself.
