On Saturday, October 26th, Roast Coffee & Tea Trading Co. is proud to be hosting a night of music featuring Bryan Gallo, Josh Morin (of Heavy Duty Super Ego), and Sam Raia. You may know Bryan Gallo best as the host of Roast's Friday Open Mic Night, but this featured evening will allow you a better opportunity to hear his music you've come to be familiarized with through those Friday nights. Josh Morin and Sam Raia are two very talented singer/songwriters that perform often on Long Island's North Shore. This South Shore appearance from these two artists along with local favorite Bryan Gallo is a show you will surely not want to miss. There is no cover charge for this show, we just ask you grab your favorite beverage and/or baked good, make yourself comfortable, and come appreciate some great music! Here's more on the artists that will be appearing for this performance: Bryan Gallo is a Long Island based singer-songwriter and former front man of the band Attic Space. His songs are inspired by late nights in bars, the backseats of cars, and the pressures and consequences of living life romantically. Intrigued by both the sounds of alternative country-rock and wistful pop music he embarked on a solo career and began to pen songs that would be deeply personal but still readily accessible. Steeped in reflective heartache, the lexicon of Gallo’s lyrics stands as a testament to his raw talent as a musician while weaving a flush and relatable narrative. He's opened for notable acts such as Steve Wynn of The Dream Syndicate fame and Bobby Bare Jr. Gallo's headlined The Patchogue Theater's Live In The Lobby series to much acclaim and has played many other storied venues across Long Island including The Homegrown Music Cafe, The Vail Leavitt Theater and the historic Guild Hall opening for The Kerry Kearney Band. Whether it be an intimate gig at a tavern or cafe or on a large stage setting under the lights, Bryan's words and melodies stick with audiences long after the show is over. See and hear more of Bryan at www.reverbnation.com/bryangallo Josh Morin of Heavy Duty Super Ego is a Long Island based original artist. Heavy Duty Super Ego (or HDSE, as the locals like to call them) just released the album "Moon Lake", their 3rd release since the band started up in 2010. Josh's song writing is compared to early Neil Young, who is appropriately a big influence. Other artists such as Wilco and Radiohead can be heard as influences of his writing style. With big plans to stay in the studio, keep a look out for this artist on the road and in your home town at www.Heavydutysuperego.com Sam Raia is a bite-sized singer-songwriter from the North Shore of Long Island that has been growing a following by performing in several coffee shops around the Island including The Grind Café in Wading River, Roast Coffee and Tea Trading Co. in Patchogue. and Crazy Beans in Miller Place. She has also performed at Patchogue's Plaza Songwriter Series. Inspired by Indie-Pop artist Ingrid Michaelson and Folk artist Dallas Green, Sam Raia describes her music as “Indie-Folk”. Sam’s lyrics are inspired by personal experience and reflect who she is and what she believes and are delivered with a voice that is equal parts sweetness and sorrow.
Good times, lots of fun and original rock and roll for your ear holes.
