Bio
Music is an incredible tool that can communicate beyond all barriers. For singer/songwriter Harry Grillo, it is all of these and more – a very essence to daily survival. The fourth of five brothers, Harry grew up exposed to a diverse sonic palette. Great rock vocalists such as Ann Wilson of Heart and Robin Zander of Cheap Trick inspired Harry to pursue vocal study. In November of 2008, he released “Escape From The Midnight Sun”. The album explores the variety of ways the human spirit escapes from the devastation and heartlessness of contemporary living. Harry believes his love for music is a gift from God. “It’s meant to be shared – Music is a voice for the voiceless, and an amazing tool that can heal the heart and soul.”
About
My name is Harry. I'm an avid fan of all forms of melodic music no matter what genre, so my record collection covers a lot of styles. Though I may be getting a late start in a music career, some of my biggest inspirations have proven that age has nothing to do with your capacity for making great music. (Indeed like fine wine most improve with age and time cannot tear down a dedicated professional!)
I'm not sure what direction my music will take professionally - I like power pop, classic rock and even country, and that is reflected in my music. I just want an outlet for my songwriting abilities, and hopefully find a way to turn that into a career as a musician or at least a songwriter. I've released my debut album, Escape From the Midnight Sun which is available from i-tunes,and I'm currently working on the follow-up disc.
I hope you enjoy some of the songs here and will join me on my musical journey that has become my life's purpose!
