About
HARRISON HUDSON
Hailing from Nashville, Tennessee, Harrison Hudson is comprised of Brandon Dees (Bass Guitar), Steven Kadar (Drums), and front man, Harrison Hudson (Vocals, Electric Guitar). Described by critics as raw Americana, and by themselves as the band of "no-frills" rock 'n' roll, Harrison Hudson delivers melody-inspired rock. "We decided one day to keep things simple. Ever since then we've been a three piece band playing as loud and as hard as we can while still bringing a good melody ... we just love a good melody."
Harrison Hudson is currently promoting their sophomore album, Blood, Sweat, and Sweat, which follows their 2006 debut release, Angel on One Side...and the Other on the Other. The new album was recorded during the last few months of 2007 with producer Mark Nash (the Good Wolves, Celebrity) at the Bookhouse in Nashville. In a recent review, listennashville.com described the album as, "self-effacing and sometimes viciously vengeful," and went on to say, "Hudson's guitar-playing and singing is raw and loose, giving the record an edgy, under-produced, one-take vibe ... he is a clever lyricist whose words will sometimes catch you off-guard."
Harrison Hudson shares musical roots with fellow Favorite Gentlemen band, Manchester Orchestra (front man Harrison Hudson played alongside MO's Andy Hull, Jonathan Corley, and Chris Freeman in the short lived rock band, East on Autry). Harrison Hudson's music has been called a blend of the East coast - from southern twang to New York dirt, and everything in between. They are undoubtedly one of the acts redefining the sound of Nashville.
