“(Agent) Orange is also scheduled to participate in a release show Saturday for Deuce Fam’s album “The Council,” which features several local rappers. He guest raps on one of the tracks on the album, “Comin Up.” Another local hip-hop band performing at that concert, Gypsy Collabo, will accompany McCoy to New York for the Freestyle Friday finals. “We’re just going as kind of a street team/support system for Orange,” Gypsy Collabo’s David Hale said. Hale said Gypsy Collabo will be headlining at the upcoming SOHO Music Festival in downtown Springfield and is creating its own comparable festival. Springfield is not about to become synonymous with Atlanta, Brooklyn or South Central Los Angeles, but Orange’s success could shine a light on the hip-hop scene here.”
