Walter began playing the guitar on his 13th birthday when he received a Memphis Les Paul from his parents. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Music Performance specializing in Guitar from Southern Illinois University where he studied under Joseph Breznikar. Since 1990 he has been teaching guitar, repairing and restoring guitars, and performing with many different musicians at all kinds of places all of which is too much to list here.
