Carl is a form music student at Muskingum College in Ohio where he studied as a vocal major. While in college, he bought a bass guitar and taugh himself how to play. After playing with friends for a few years, he started working in Bluegrass bands and forming bands with his college friends.

After taking a few years off from the music scene, Carl is back with a solo project.
