In December of 2007, Doug Kuiper (Ten Finger, Red Vensonic), Dave Kuiper (Ten Finger, Red Vensonic), Eric Loucks (Ten Finger),and Joshua "Tree" Herrema began putting together a few songs.
A January 2008 car accident gave Doug a little extra free time to work on some new material with Eric. These songs were then brought to the jam room, where Dave and Joshua added rhthym to the mix and filled out the low-end.
In March of 2008 the guys, under the name "Choke", went into the studio and recorded their first full length album "Push Him Down". The album deals with relationships, beliefs, and everyday life with songs like "Smile", "Like the Way", and "In a Box".
Influences include Pearl Jam, Seether, and Chevelle.
