Featuring: Charetta The Blackfires The Amatory Murder Machine Elves iSpaceWalkSometimes Over the past five years, Tech-9 Music has staged hundreds of shows under the branded monikers Gotham Rocks and No Mercy Metal. On Saturday, June 8th, the company will celebrate its Fifth Anniversary with a gala event at Irving Plaza, featuring five bands from the New York area. The complete line-up features CHARETTA, THE BLACKFIRES, MACHINE ELVES, THE AMATORY MURDER and ISPACEWALKSOMETIMES. CHARETTA will be releasing their upcoming album Apocalypse that week. The Official Afterparty will be held UPSTAIRS at Irving Plaza immediately following the show. Gotham Rocks has hand-selected the best line up in the way of unsigned, terrific talent for this historical fifth anniversary show. The heavy handed and melodic female-fronted CHARETTA has claimed the attention of fans and critics alike with their “great grooves, monster riffs, and killer vocals,” says producer Mike Watts (STORY OF THE YEAR, THEORY OF A DEADMAN). THE BLACKFIRES recently exploded into the New York rock scene, already playing stage-burning, sold out performances twice at Gramercy Theatre, Webster Hall and the Double Seven with their blood-pumping rock and roll. MACHINE ELVES deliver an energetic stage show complete with the theatricality and soaring vocals of lead singer Joey Calveri, currently starring in Broadway’s Rock of Ages. THE AMATORY MURDER will make you want to both dance and fight with their blend of industrial synth-rock and upbeat pop-rock sensibilities. Last seen on the Gotham Rocks stage on the showcase’s tour, Westchester’s ISPACEWALKSOMETIMES’ pure and progressive sound will kick off the night, launching the Gotham Rocks Fifth Anniversary show straight into history books.
