About

Hey Family,

Thanks for stopping by and welcome to the spot.  Just want to introduce those who don't know and re-introduce those who do; to Gospel Truth...

Two musicians met several years ago through a mutual friend (Eric Clay).  The purpose was to make great music.

Jeff Poirier brought several skills to the table.  Not only a highly skilled recording engineer, guitarist, composer/songwriter and keyboardist but also a soulful drummer and vocalist.

Floyd Henry's primary instrument was vocals but he also brought keyboards and drums to the mix as well.  Floyd grew up doing poetry and eventually theatre, so it was a natural progression (as a musician) to evolve into a singer/songwriter/vocal arranger.

The two became fast friends and spent many hours composing songs in the studio.  They seemed to always be on the same musical page.  Floyd did many shows with the songs composed by the two. They also did festivals, radio shows and commercial jingles but eventually they each got married and their careers took separate paths until 2002.  A simple call to say “how ya been,” “long time no hear,”  turned into a re-kindling of that flame to record.  A series of trips to Jeff's Oceanside, CA studio, produced the tracks for this project.  Floyd's son San, got in on several tracks and Jeff's nephew Jordan stepped to the mic on a track as well.  This had become a group effort and they needed to come up with a group name.  During that process, Jeff's brother Greg was listening to the tracks and commented, “You should call yourselves Gospel Truth.”  Hmmm...Gospel Truth.  A prophetic word?  Obviously, it stuck.

Gospel Truth.  This time, the theme is clearly defined.  The good news of Jesus Christ.  This music is dedicated to giving God alone the glory, in appreciation of how far He has brought us and in anticipation of where He is taking us to.  The journey continues.  The songs speak of brokenness, repentance, restoration, revelation, faith and worship.  God has truly anointed this project and it has already blessed countless people with the message of Love.  So once again, thanks for stopping by, ya'll come on back now and as always...God bless you.
