Good City Lie Still came together in the fall of 2005, and have been showcasing their unique blend of effects heavy progressive/indie rock across the greater West Coast ever since. Their's is a sound that reminds the listener of the saturated instrumentation of Smashing Pumpkins, the tight songwriting or Minus The Bear, and the dynamic vocals of Radiohead. Never shy from using effects (but never used as a crutch), guitarist Andy Pohl, bassist Kenny Kaiser, and pianist/guitarist/vocalist Ross Giffen provide shovels full of sonic ear candy, dutifully layered on top of drummer Terrance Fleming's rhythmic flare. With a self-titled debut EP unde their belts, the band intends on releasing a second EP early 2008, and will be playing the West Coast as much as possible to support.
