TICKETS $10 ADV / $12 DOOR DOORS AT 10PM L.A.V.A. & Volatile came together in the fall of 2006 to form the group “R.E.A.L.” which stands for “Reality Ends All Lies.” The two have come together to counter all of the falsity present in a great majority of today's mainstream hip hop. The duo make music that keeps it, well, real but also has a great feel that can translate to the mainstream populous. L.A.V.A. (Lyrically Awesome, Verbally Amazin) is a lyricist from Rochester, NY. L.A.V.A. started out as a pure freestyler, but after pressure from many of his peers he finally started writing songs and recording his music in 2003. He was also formerly part of the group the “Reckin Cru” during this time. L.A.V.A. has also released his own solo mixtapes in the midst of his crew affiliations. Volatile is a producer and lyricist, also from Rochester, NY. Volatile started out just producing after having been around a few friends in junior high that produced and recorded hip hop. Volatile began writing rhymes in 2002 and started recording songs in 2004 after graduating from High School. More motivation ensued the next year when Volatile linked up with some friends from High School that were part of a hip hop group. He began recording and producing for them. Networking and relationships were being built during this time that led to Volatile meeting more and more artists. L.A.V.A. & Volatile met through another artist, Monsta, when he brought L.A.V.A. to Volatile’s studio to record a feature verse on his own mixtape. Volatile recalls, “L.A.V.A. put down a great verse for Monsta’s track and it was a wrap, I started playing my beats and the consensus was that we had to do a track together.” About a week later, they did a track called “Fall Back” which was released on the recent self titled group album. That track started it all. L.A.V.A. and Volatile proceeded to record a couple more tracks together before deciding to do a duo album.
