Label: One with scruples and a sense of adventure, please.
Bio: It's a psychedelic jazz mish-mash on toast! Nothing really fits a genre pigeon hole. These pieces in the playlist are recorded during writing, rehearsing and mucking about sessions. That's why they probably sound live.

Returning to where we started 2013′s gig. Once more for the Embrace The Chaos people responsible for keeping the freak flag flying over Worcester. Opening on Saturday, 25th April will be the eccentric tones of The Retinal Circus. Expect chaotic tongue-in-cheekiness with a chaotic Zappaesque delivery. Second on are Stourbridge groovers Socio Suki. Then it’s us. We’ve a few new tunes and, as ever, some familiar tunes given an air of improvisation. It’s on at the Bridge Inn WR1 2RX and is free entry!
The location is the South Wingfield Cricket Club, where we had the 2012 Onboard weekender. Some top names from classic psychedelic rock history are booked to be rubbing shoulders with young groovers – And, everything from psy-dance genres to blues to… well, whatever we feel like bringing to the table and playing that weekend. It’s organised by the same team behind Sonic Rock Solstice and several other popular underground rock events, Dr. Hasbeen and that loveable team of extra terrestrials. Expect friendly faces, good ales and food and space aliens more than likely. Expect swirly lights, fizzy drinks and groovy rock music!
Glowpeople will be performing to the light art installation of Andy McKeown, in Shropshire. The 7th and 8th September is to be an open weekend for Shrewsbury’s Flax Mill, where visitors can have guided tours, visit the exhibitions in the spaces, get food and drink and the chance the discover the story of the Flax Mill Maltings and the plans for its redevelopment. Andy McKeown’s installation will be running the entire time – But, for the private view / launch evening, on Friday 6th September GLOWPEOPLE will perform a series of improvisations and pieces from our repertoire in a huge former grain silo. This is open to all comers, we’ve been told, So, if you’re in the vicinity (SY1 2SX) come and witness it! Andy McKeown is a renowned new media / digital light artist. His installations – projections of animated forms and literature – have been witnessed all over the UK. Huge, bold and kaleidoscopic – exteriors of buildings become canvases brought to psychedelic life – or gallery interiors transformed into swirling spaces of disorienting cartoonery! Shrewsbury’s Flax Mill has been derelict your years, but now, thanks to a group of determined volunteers and their efforts and campaigns getting a grant, is to become a public space for businesses and exhibitions. Sadly, this is also the date for which we had to announce a Glowpeople cancellation, recently. The Worcestershire ‘Onboard The Craft’ weekender. Due to late logistic and licensing problems, applications to run a second stage were turned down, thereby forcing the organisers to truncate set lengths and shuffle bands about, in the running order. Unfortunately, we can’t do the revised slot we were offered. – However, on the flipside, as a rather nice consolation, promoter Dr. Hasbeen has assured us a slot at Sonic Rock Solstice 2014!
