"This year’s fete is being held in honour of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee which has given us the opportunity to recreate some of the events from the 1952 fete, held to celebrate the Coronation. Local schools and youth organisations will be heavily involved and North Road will be closed to allow more space for all the entertainments planned. The day will start at 11.30am with a fancy dress parade from the Triangle to the Common & be followed by a children’s picnic on trestle tables the length of North Road. Attractions will include a 1950s band, dancing displays, fun races, a children’s entertainer, stalls, barbecue, tea tent, bar and lots more. Please put the date in your diary and join us for what promises to be a special day for Chesham Bois."
