About GeoSuPhat

GeoSuPhat (pronounced gee-oh-suh-fat) is the artist name of George Peterson, an American born musician and graphic artist from the state of Michigan in the USA..  Now living in Europe,  He plays guitar, keyboards, percussion and has his roots in rock music. Since moving to Germany in the 90's, he has been highly influenced by electronic music and its various styles and genres. Although primarily a minimalist he touches on techno, industrial, idm, downtempo and ambient but has a special love for rich, dark,deep moving  textures and soundscapes. Most of his time and effort lately has been spent  expanding his knowledge of synthesis, sound design and further developing his skills at audio production

George studied electronics/computer programming in college and has a background in graphic arts and web design. Together with his son Tobias (Sum-1) they created and designed several different websites before establishing Togeo Studios in 2003 as a multimedia resource center. They later started focusing on music production and added the Togeo Music recording label in late 2007.
