George Brothers / Press

"In early March, Randall and Dawayne George are selling Ozark Mountain Hoe-Down Music Theater to Larry Reitz, who also owns Cinnamon Valley Resort, located next door to the theater. The George Brothers are expected to sign a record contract with Way Out West Records to begin the next phase of their musical careers."

“All those riding in on a motorcycle receive a special $10 ticket rate to see the show, and are entered into the “best bike” contest in which the winner receives $100 cash. To be eligible to win, bikers must ride their motorcycle to the theater, purchase a ticket to see the show, and be present at intermission when the winner is announced. All bikes will be judged between 6:30pm and 7:30pm, followed by the George Brothers show at 7:30pm.”

“The musicianship was outstanding, the harmonies had a remarkable blend, and even the comedy was fresh and new. I was equally impressed by their original music, the entire CD, and the fact that they wrote 8 of the 10 songs on their album and played all of the instruments. They seemed to have the whole package, and were just genuinely nice guys, too. I wanted them to know how much it meant to us that they still had so much respect for country music even with a unique style of their own. I knew immediately that it would be a big honor for Texas to induct this band into our Country Music Hall of Fame.”

“This honor was enhanced by a letter from Arkansas Gov. Mike Beebe congratulating them for accomplishments in the tourism industry for 20 years Their CD, Brothers, Friends and Outlaws Forever has hit the charts in Texas and gotten the attention of the Nashville industry. A national release will be in early August.”

“The George Brothers will be officially welcomed into the great state of Texas on June 15, 2012 as Rodger Vierse and the Gatesville City Auditorium inducts the entire band into the Texas Country Music Hall of Fame.”

“The George Brothers are on the road again for another radio tour; this time promoting their second radio single, “Walkin’ Down a Country Road”, and putting in a good word for tourism in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, too!”

“The George Brothers hit the red dirt Texas music scene by scoring a Top 20 hit on the Independent Music Chart - only two weeks after the release of their first single. The single, "Brothers, Friends, & Outlaws Forever" is quickly becoming a favorite among red dirt music fans not just in Texas, but as far away as France, Switzerland, and the Netherlands.”

“If you won’t go to Eureka Springs, Eureka Springs just may come to you. The [Ozark Mountain] Hoe-Down is the top selection of 31 Eureka Springs’ attractions according to Internet travel website tripadvisor.com. “They’re really good,” said BDC/Chamber committee chairperson Kathy Swift. It’s a large variety of music, so they’re going to be able to hit everybody’s taste at some point.” ”

“Dawayne and Randall George's nomination as joint COW is long overdue. "These fellows are well known to locals and tourists as performers and they accomplish charitable works behind the scenes. The George brothers are kind to locals, tourists and neighbors near and far. On Mother's Day they traveled all the way to Picher, Okla. to help friends in the aftermath of the super cell tornado which devastated homeowners there. They have hosted performance benefits for the Passion Play and Shop with a Cop (Santa's helpers).”
