Playing folk with her father, or singing in high school bands geared her towards preforming with local musicians in her late teens and early twenties. Studying at the University of Guelph, Gemma G sang lead vocals in hip-hop funk collective "Fountain St. Blues Project" , as well as several side projects throughout the years. Upon graduation and landing on salt spring island, bc, Gemma G took up teaching herself the guitar and writing her own songs. Working towards the goal of making a record and pursuing music as a career, here are a few tracks recently recorded with Daryl Chonka @ Old Growth Music.
