Gefferson Rastason ( real name Geoffrey Peter Day) began his road of musical thought aged 8 yrs old, In Silverstream, New Zealand, following his brothers and sisters, mum and dad, uncles and aunties and even granparents, who all picked up and learnt various instruments. some of them with very high distinction.

On moving to the UK, young Geoff was classically taught the flute and learning musical theory playing the local orchestras and school bands until he was 16. After studing, and failing in his attempt to be an illustrator, he returned to his musical talents, inspired by his younger brother, Bryan, who was fastly being recognised as a highly talented guitarist. Gefferson began learning the bass, and listening to classic funk and progressive rock /funk fusion. . Their first band "Industrial symphony" played just 2 gigs in Sheffields 'Battle of the bands' in 1993, but they won studio time, for their efforts which they put into their next group

"The Brotherhoods Cosmic Foes", formed with his brother Bryan on guitar, Joe Petrie on Keyboards and Joe Pye on drums a, was a mass jam of psycodelic funk/rock with the odd hendrix and James Brown tribute, with complicated timing and chord structures, it allowed the two brothers to break into the 'scene' and meet fellow musicians. Bryan later joined 'Various Vegetables' who had some sucess and has since gone on to perform in numerous bands ( baby bird, Steve Edwards, Jody Wildgoose to name a few )In 1995,

Gefferson joined 'Blind mole Rat' A highly acclaimed punk/folk/ska band, for their European tour. a whole new genre of music opened up for him and he began exploring the off beat and one drop. After the tour and the band dispanded, he continued to work with members of the group, who composed and performed in conjuction with 'Swamp Circus' Even learning to play the bass whilst running around on stilts! after two years of circus perfomance, living in a converted fire truck, he moved to Antibes, in France, where he shelved his musical ambitions for a while and persude a career as a marine carpenter, landscaper and all round handyman, whist also playing regually with local cover bands . He continues to this day as a shipwright to pay da bills! Music is his passion, his life long love affair that can never leave him.

Reggae Rebel was formed july 2004 by Jonny Desmond, aka Ivangru Xelaxix and Geoff Day,aka Gefferson. Additional live artists have been Francios Berruco (keyboards, 2004-2005, 2008), Nono Solar (guitar, 2005) and Jean Teck (guitar and vocals, 2004, 2006-2007) They played extensivly throughout the Cote D'Azur, over 150 dates in 2 summer seasons and recorded tracks and performed in the UK.

He aspires to reach new heights through hard work and determination, hopefully securing managment and a record contract
