Q: How do you play so fast?
A: Thanks for asking... The usage of dead notes (notes where the string is plucked but the note is deadened by the left hand) makes my playing sound more active or frenetic than it really is. Also syncopating against the bass drum can enhance the effect because because it sounds like additional notes are being played. Finally some of it is quick but that just takes practice.
