Bio
Formed in 2005 as Gato Loco Cuatro, the quartet roamed the city looking for gigs and a sound. it finally settled.
Eventually, through it's cartoon covers and latin homages, skrong-rock anthems and quirky tangos, "De Bajo" rose from within as a seperate entity, creating a sexy, pulsing, freely-playing repertoire of early Cuban son, danzon, and rumba music.
And then, inevitably, the two, and even a mysterious third, collided, to form the ultimate mambo band. 12-pieces fiercely attacking every perez prado fan alive, "Coconino" has blazingly original and enticingly sexy arrangements, fusing latin, classical, rock, and avant-jazz.
