“This is fast Death Metal, and very nice played at that. The music is certainly relentless, definitely they earned more experience releasing this cassette, their metal onslaught has never sounded better than it does on this killer release. The production is thick and massively heavy, but you can still hear everything that's going on. The title "Visions of death and Destruction" proves that Death Metal is demonically brutal and it can be memorable as well!”
“Holy Sh*t. I can’t believe I hadn’t seen these guys before. Straight up evil, brutal, kickass death metal played at breakneck speeds. Drummer Nolan Weber is a f**king beast, delivering blast beats, crazy fast double bass, and he circle headbangs and sings some backups while he’s doing it! This is not to discount the musicianship of the rest of the band though. I was really amazed. A lot of times when you get bands with insane tempos and lots of blast beats, the guitars slouch. Not so in Garoted, they have a ton of awesomely frantic riffs that take their fretting hands on a high-speed joyride up and down their fretboards in a flurry. F**king great. -”
“Does the US need another death metal band? Yes, there's always room for more quality death metal! Garoted, a band from Nebraska with a demo, album and now also an EP in their catalogue, is (as you might have guessed) a death metal band. Breakneck speeds is an element that I think most people can appreciate in death metal, and the American band does not waste time. Even if their drums are beyond crazy and demented blast beats are what dominate their music their songs are still close to or above 5 minutes, which I think most will agree is alot for death metal music. The roaring vocals, grisly riffs and ripping drums all come together in a malicious explosion of death with an old school feel.”
“In my opinion Garoted are a very good brutal death metal band with a blackened edge and if you are a fan of this style, you should check out this band.”
“Simply THE band to follow they are to me the future of extreme metal”
“First band with more than one member was Garoted. This Garoted was not the same deathcore/grind band from KC, but a straight-up death metal band from Nebraska. They said they'd be playing more in KC from now on. They sounded pretty good, even a tinge of black metal at times. The drummer is insane, too. Looking forward to lots more of them.”
