Gaia is an italian rock singer and songwriter. Her first single "One" was published in 2006 by Sony BMG and chosen as soundtrack for Lancia Phedra TV Commercial. In summer 2006, Gaia played in Naples for Festivalbar, the most important italian summer music festival, and for the italian version of "Top of the Pops" TV Show. In October 2006 she came out with another single, "Winter Falls", available for purchase only on the Italian Itunes store. In December 2006, due to lack of promotion and other insoluble divergences with her A&M, she decided to terminate the contract with Sony BMG and to record a self-made pre-production. The result, after one year of hard work, is a pre-production of 19 melodic and powerful rock tracks, recorded at the Phoenix Studio (Castel Mella, BS) with Emilio Rossi, sound engineer, friend and personal "guru". You can listen to some previews of this pre-production on the player of this page. Gaia is author for all the songs' lyrics and vocal melodies, and collaborator to the arrangements. Andrea Noto is author for musical parts, collaborator to the arrangements and the artistic producer of the project. Thanks to her high quality pre-production, in February 2008 Gaia signs a new deal with an italian indie label. In May 2008 she records the 4 songs of her first EP, COME AND SEE, which was released on the main music digital stores on August 29th, and in music shops on September 26th.

Her full album, FRANTIC, was released on 20/03/2009.

Gaia also runs a daily blog available at www.gaiariva.it, being one of the first italian artists to choose such a straight way to communicate with her fans, and to share with them her personal thoughts and feelings about her risky journey in the music-biz. Gaia has a full-honours degree in engineering and a full-honours diploma at the seventeen Master Publitalia ’80 (Marketing&Communication).
