Funky Geezer / Press

“At No Go Commando Fest, I had the utmost pleasure of seeing The Funky Geezer for the first time ever. I enjoy the fact that he does take time to continue to be a musical force that is, in my personal opinion, better than some bands in the area and at his age it is amazing. His blend of comedy and musicianship is outstanding and a joy to watch, not just for the entertainment, but if you’re a musician like I am, you’re envious of how much knowledge he has. Some have even said that they wish that he was their grandfather and I can see why. I could not have imagined how good his set up was. I watched a short online documentary and online videos but they do not do him justice; so if you get a chance, see him live. He is usually booked all the time and having a blast. I think it’s easy to say we love the ‘rest home escapee’ that is off his rocker.”

“Oct. 29 2011 Among those performing at this holiday gathering of local acts is Funky Geezer. The retiree is more than a novelty act, though he does enjoy entertaining with plenty of humor. If he didn’t have the musicianship to back it up, Funky Geezer would be more at home on the Comedy Zone stage. As it is, he’ll zip through some riffs and use his dry wit to accent his humble style. “Many folks are already familiar with the svelte voice, fancy fingerwork, and clever lyrics of The Funky Geezer. If you've been hearing about him, but have yet to experience his wit and charm, now is your chance! C'mon down for a really splendid listening session, and behold the Funky Geezer in all his splendor!”

“Most original artist and performer I have seen in years. Don't miss Funky Geezer's live show. He wakes up the entire crowd.”
