One spring day in 08 drinking buddies Phill B, Zach S, and Adam J spoke of starting a band. Armed w/ 3 riffs per person & acoustic instruments the 3 got together in Phill’s record room & hashed out the beginnings of songs, while percussionist Mike McCormick tapped his legs. The next week the 4 with addition of lap steel player Phil Crouch started writing songs. Westbank played their 1st show in July of 2008. McCormick would later be replaced by Adam Cox. Westbank is almost ready to return to the stage. The band plans on going in the studio in the fall of 2009. Each player has their own influences, but they all have a common goal of playing good music with good friends & possibly having a drink or 2 while achieving this goal.
