“When singer-guitarist Martin Koop was a kid growing up in Toledo, his family used to hit a local pizza joint that would have ragtime piano and banjo players providing a fun musical soundtrack to old silent movies being shown on the wall. Oregon Fest is a community event held each year on the third Sunday in May. It's a free family festival that includes stage entertainment, amusement rides, a variety of foods, contests, a classic car show, art and craft show, Civil War reenactors, exhibits of non-profit groups & local businesses, health information and screenings by two hospitals and a Grand Parade of over 100 units. Oregon Fest showcases the best of the community and is a fun festival that welcomes over 10,000 people.
