Free Electric State fuses swirling textures with the more traditional boundaries of loud rock music. The band is from Durham, NC and have been creating quite a stir with their blistering live show. They have shared the stage with Polvo, Alice Donut, Fin Fang Foom & many others. Currently, Free Electric State is working on their first full-length release entitled "Caress" with legendary producer Jerry Kee (Polvo, Superchunk, Kingsbury Manx), which is due to drop in the spring of 2010. And yes it is true, each one of them has been struck by lightning at one point or another in their lives.
