“Frank Giallombard, aka 12-String Frank, calls himself "NYC's only prog-rock open mic artist." A strange moniker, to be sure, but hey, flaunt it if you got it. Frank has troubador'd his way around many of the local open mic staples on Staten Island, so people in the know are aware of his fleet-fingered presence. But if you want to catch him in all his glory, head down to the ETG Cafe, 208 Bay St., Tompkinsville, at 9 p.m. tomorrow. The guitarist will be playing what he calls "a fantasy reader's dream," with music about and inspired by J.R.R. Tolkien, vikings, hobbits, wizards, witches and myths. Admission is free, but be sure to bring a donation for the cafe ... and your best elfin cloak.”
