“Phenomenal” artist Fola unveils her Phenomenal Woman single at the Screen Nation Awards.

London, UK February 4th 2009  – Rising superstar Fola, unveils her Mayo Angelou inspired song in front of industry pundits and celebrities at the Screen Nation Awards. This single is set to be a 2009 smash within the soul jazz music scene.

The inspirational single is a tribute to everyday, working Joes however in this case an everyday working woman. A woman from any walk of life, irrespective of skin colour, profession, age or religion. Phenomenal Woman represents the phenomenal works and powers of those women because without them, the world would be a place of lost miracles and fallen heroes.

Mobo award winning singer-songwriter Fola sings about the power of those women from her own experience. Growing up without a father figure, Fola quickly learnt of the strength it took her own mother to raise a family on a single income.  

Motivated by her personal experiences, Fola is taking her soulful, lounge, fusion beats to the streets of London with a promotional tour. Starting with the Screen Nation Awards & continuing throughout March in conjunction with International Women’s week; ending with her single release party at Red Soho on 30/3/2009.

2009 is set to be a fantastic year for Fola, with Music Week already hailing her as “an obvious gem”, plus an album in the pipeline.
