“A revolving slate of popular local cover bands play the Atlantic Club most Fridays through Sundays, and every Thursday night will feature an Irish-themed party with the trio Flip-N-Mickeys, who include singer/guitarist Mike Illich, singer/bassist Mick Michaels and drummer Marc Lewis.
We cover music from the ’60s through today, particularly classic rock and festive Irish party music,” says Illich. “We play a lot of what you’d typically want to hear in a bar or club situation, but our spin on things is that we throw in a lot of high-energy Irish stuff. Not your traditional Irish music, more like the Dropkick Murphys, Flogging Molly and those sort of bands. That’s our little niche so to speak, but we mix it up pretty well. So if you like sing-alongs and high-energy Irish music, you’ll like us.”
