Kicking off the afternoon is the awesome talent of MARIE-CLAIRE BERREEN with heartfelt and stirring vocals and some fine songwriting. SARAH WARREN has been blessed with powerful gutsy vocals and has been compared to Janis Joplin, Elkie Brooks and Steve Marriott. Playing Blues/Rock with a country edge, her band have just completed their first original album 'Tempers and Tantrums'. Catch her playing live and acoustic at The Acoustic Lunch SMALL ENGINE REPAIR are a 3 piece folk/blues/alternative band from Hereford founded by frontman Phil Twigg (Vocals, Guitar, ...Ukulele, Keys) and flanked by fellow local musicians Tom Harrington (Bass, Vocals) & Dan Lewis (Drums, Percussion, Vocals). Since playing their first chords together at a local studio in early 2009, their ‘Life-affirming Americana’ (Artrocker Magazine) has gone from strength to strength as the band have played many corners of the British Isles, notched up radio play in both the UK and mainland Europe, collaborated with a music legend and even shoehorned a royal visit into the bargain: FILTERED BY DESIRE are Si Anthony and Lee Drinkwater (and possibly one other) and play soulful acoustic music with heart and passion. This is one fanastic lineup of local and regional acoustic talent and its all free and right here at the The Acoustic Lunch @ The Old Rectifying House.

Sounds Like: Ben Howard, The Levellers, Rodrigo y Gabriela, John Martyn, Damien Rice
