Over the past 12 years the Awards has provided a platform for local artists to gain recognition and exposure in one of the nation’s most vibrant music scenes. The punk quartet from La Habra delivered an all-killer-no-filler set, with vocalist/guitarist Brenna Red, though small in stature, proving herself a mighty frontwoman in the raspy vein of Courtney Love and Brody Dalle. They actually looked like they were having fun, prompting lots of audience interaction while letting loose on tracks like "Smoke and Whiskey," "Whites in Their Eyes" and a fast-and-furious cover of the Jefferson Airplane’s "White Rabbit."”
