“Fablecar seems to have emerged from whatever year the Pixies and U2 would have crossed paths with David Bowie. It’s a big, ambitious, self-titled debut, one that stands tall more often than falling flat. It’s refreshing to hear a young band take a swing at something wholly original. “Diamond Slice” sounds like a song that Pink Floyd would have written in 1999, had the band been recording then. The following anthem, “Threes,” hits more in line with Interpol — or, maybe more appropriately, Joy Division. Singer Mitch Elliott’s voice is a perfect blend of Bowie and Paul Banks. Other moments play more modern rock than indie/alternative, namely “Trapdoor,” which is written and performed solidly enough to appeal to both camps."”

Q: Caught your live show the other night it was great! DO you guys have some sort of "live date" schedule? I am in Tulsa, OKC, Dallas, Little Rock, etc...and would love to see you guys again. Thanks!

A: We are at The Conservatory in OKC Sunday, Sept. 2nd and at The Hidden Castle in Norman OK on Saturday September 15th. We will be touring college towns and clubs all over the country this fall and I will post confirmed dates as soon as they are available. Thanks for coming to the show and for the question! KGW
