The music of Exit The Ride is an intense and emotional blend of classic and modern rock injected with soaring vocals and shredding lead guitars.
Guitar virtuoso Bill Peck has joined forces with singer/songwriter Samuel Stone and drummer Clint Larson to form one of the more formidable hard rock bands to hit the scene in years. "I want people to feel empowered by our music" says Stone. ETR is poised to be a part of a musical revolution.
Samuel Stone's vocals take you on a melodic journey through peaks and valleys normally reserved for the likes of great tenors such as Chris Cornell and Scott Weiland. Stone brings Weiland's edge to the mix along with the influence of Myles Kennedy and others, forming his own unique brand of vocals.
Guitar shredding master Bill Peck brings his guitar work to the forefront of a modern rock format, giving fans a chance to hear his true versatility with monster riffs and scorching solos. Alter Bridge's Mark Tremonti described Peck as a "whammy bar, tapping, and legato master" in the 2004 October issue of Guitar One magazine.
Peck draws his shred influence from the likes of guitarist's Steve Vai and Zakk Wylde, and open tunings and songwriting from his good friend Mark Tremonti. Drummer Clint Larson ties it all together with a beat that will have you nodding your head.
Exit The Ride has been performing and recording throughout 2005 and early 2006 and gained many new fans. Look for more songs from the guys in the coming months as well as exposure thru Dean Guitars and Guitar One magazine.
Exit The Ride is influenced by older bands such as Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, and with some new rock influence from guys like their producers Justin Thomas and Brett Hestla (Dark New Day/Virgos Merlot, former Creed touring bass), Creed, Zakk Wylde, Steve Vai and plenty of others.
Songs recorded for an upcoming EP include their latest three, "There for Me", "Reach", and "Not So Strange". Other tracks include "Letters", "Everytime I", "Fallen to Fly", and "Solidarity". You do NOT want to miss hearing this band; if you're really fortunate, you'll catch them live :)
