The Evmolpeya Girls Choir was founded in late July 2006 by the conductor Rada Slavinska and the art manager Ganka Yankova.
The patron of the choir became the former Mayor of Plovdiv, Dr Ivan Chomakov.
Since December 1st 2006, The Evmolpeya Choir has had the status of a municipal choir and was appointed a Goodwill Ambassador.
