At first glance it would seem that what is presented in Everett Hunt's repertoire is a collection of musical odds and ends, with further investigation one finds that each song is part of a significant whole. With every new track comes more and more clues to what may have been previously overlooked by the listener. Everett Hunt is not for everyone, so please, if you or your loved ones are put off by things such as Franz Kafka Novels, surrealism, logic, freakish dissonance, hooliganism set to music, or just plain old absurdity, do not criticize him for what he does. At least have the courtesy to criticize him for what he doesn't do.
Everett Hunt's music encompasses all genres, though his work consists mainly of classical, and rock oriented themes. Throughout his career Everett has conveyed all types of musical styling's to his audience. Though he is known by many as mainly an instrumentalist and satirist he has also been known to write beautiful melodies and mainstream lyrics.
Working mainly from his studio at home Everett has recorded, written and performed all across the U.S. Though there are few people familiar with his work, the basic consensus is that his music is enjoyable even if the lyrics that accompany it is often ridiculed and renounced as filth. This may be because the majority of the people who have attended the performances understand the subject matter or at the very least the context in which they were written.
With over 8 albums released in the span of two years and many projects yet to be completed, Everett Hunt is bound to capture the imagination of listener's of all types of backgrounds. Though many of his classical works are extremely taciturn, and his form of songwriting often seems spontaneous, he has been dutifully working on his performances for years. His music as a collective is all interrelated, with references to songs and concepts concealed in other songs, there is no telling what may come next.
The music that Everett creates offers an abundance of ideas to the listener, big or small, it is hard to find a weakness in the arguments he poses. His arguments are often animated through the music, with many of the arguments told by the instruments in the songs themselves. Take for example the song "Prayer In Pornography," the relentless noise that ensues within this grotesque track offers that as ridiculous any given sexual act is, no matter how good it feels face it, they are some of the silliest looking things that people can perform on each other. Yet, no matter how ridiculous it is, it still causes an uproar in the society pages and all across the so called "conservative platform" not to mention religious leaders. No matter how much they renounce sexuality, they seem to have no problem if the people who are engaging in the acts are themselves.
If you are prepared to make the commitment to join in on the mayhem or have already done so, please juxtapose the material and enjoy. And while you're at it, you may as well juxtapose yourself…
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT, WITHOUT PEOPLE LIKE YOU THERE WOULD BE NO REASON TO UPLOAD THIS MUSIC ONTO THE WORLD WIDE WEB.
