Bio
As a 10 year old kid from The Land Of The Long White Cloud, Ethan James (ethan2rock) makes his mark on the world music stage, by taking to the streets of a beach-side suburb in the north east of Auckland, New Zealand. As any superstar musician will tell you, there is always the hard yards to do, before making it to the big time.
Ethan is no stranger to the hard times! This is what makes him even more special. The raw emotion contained in this now 12 year old from New Zealand is pure, unadulterated and so easy to relate to, as a 10 year old and as a 90 year old. Some of the lyrics and statements in his many original hits, are so powerful that even the hardest of us can sit there and say, "man I have been there!"

What Makes A Star?
Coming home from school one day at the age of 5, and carrying a plywood cutout guitar strung with fishing line, he asked his parents if he could start learning the guitar. As all good parents do, they said "Of course you can, as long as you give it a fair go"
From that moment on and 7 years later the pint sized superstar from New Zealand continues to build on his passion. He now plays a Martin D28 guitar, records in his own home studio complete with Keyboards, Yamaha Mixing desk, and Cuebase software, to pump out one original hit after another.
As a youngster breaking into the regime required of any artist, he has taken it in his stride. Networking with some amazing people from all walks of life, from the family and friends to real life superstars, he is able to draw from thier experiences, and his own, to craft his own unique style of music. music that more than 350,000 viewers have loved on Youtube alone.
With a starting base on Youtube, his mum and dad have been the driving force behind the scenes. Making sure his schoolwork is completed, and his chores are done in enough time for him to dedicate his spare time to writing, singing and recording, busking & networking. The "mum & dad" team are also responsible for the video editing and admin side of things, with more than 60 videos to date, 12 or so websites and merchandise being sold all over the golbe!
At the ripe old age of 12 (going on 33) this youg kiwi kid is going places, and not through good luck or chance. From the age of 5 he had a dream, and over the years of hard work and dedication, it is now his passion. A passion that will carry him forward into the future with security and immense success. Good on you Ethan! You are simply "The Best"
