Eric Parker began his music career in 2002 as a songwriter for his own indie label Music for Missions. The companies first album A Remedy Raised featured Parker's songwriting and guitar playing throughout, but he only sang a few tracks. Eric soon took a job playing acoustic guitar for the progressive rock group Glass Hammer.
