Enola Fall - Hobart Indie Ninjas.

T
Through dangers untold and hardships unnumbered fought our way to this place. From dissolution and a year spent banished in the frozen North, to a single, crystalline moment that formed the core of the new Enola Fall.

The product of this turmoil; a brand new EP entitled I MADE A NEW FRIEND. An EP that condenses our time spent in the wilderness and illuminates the corridors of possibility that lie before us.

Enola Fall originally formed in 2003 and embarked on a slow steady rise to acclaim both locally and internationally. The group's 2005 release WE NEVER SLEEP was enthusiastically received by both local and international audiences.

“It's polished, winning and an overall gratifying album. For guys that aren't presently known world-wide they seem to be teetering on the verge of a breakthrough moment,” – onetimesone.com

With distribution through Cargo/Plastic Head in both Europe and the UK and independently in Australia, a dream that was slowly emerging from its chrysalis shared the stage with the likes of Eskimo Joe and Something for Kate amongst many others. Described by Triple J's Robbie Buck as “one of the top ten bands to watch out for this year”, Enola Fall has spread its wings and is flashing the new hues of its plumage.

“Essentially, what we have here is one of those increasingly rare acts that manage to blend technical proficiency with mainstream appeal and a sound to soothe the ears of pitchfork reviewers.” - Buzz magazine.

“I'm sure we're only just scratching the surface of this immensely talented band” - A Fine Line magazine.

Enola Fall's penchant for formidable, intense live performance has increased exponentially with a new lineup and the use of non-traditional rock instruments such as mandolin, double bass and baritone guitar demonstrates the new vision of I MADE A NEW FRIEND. The band has recorded a live set for Triple Js 'Live at the wireless with producer Chris Thompson (The Waifs, Augie March, the John Butler trio) The band also has a strong tie to Europe with the album 'We Never Sleep' (so titled because it was recorded mostly at night, in a basement in the Tasmanian bush) being distributed through Cargo and plastic head records, stocked in shops all over Germany, Denmark, Holland and the UK.
