Ending The Vicious Cycle / Press

"Shades of the Cure, touches of Bauhaus, and the occasionally Wayne Hussey-esque guitar line, EVC is somewhat of an archetypal goth band. Where those who have come before have blazed trails they have set up shop, improving the landscape as they go. What they lacked in the Stage Frights' black tar heroin kick they make up in refinement and elegance."

“One of the most enthusiastic bands in the genre today is the brainchild of Toby Rider, a Ft. Worth, Texas-based musician, singer, and songwriter. Recently, he recruited a talented pair of fellow musicians - Joshua Lytle and Austin Tierney - to bring depth and variety to each song, and the result is an audio texture as dark and layered as your favourite fishnets and lace.”

"Love child of Psychedelic Furs and Bauhaus.A really promising EP from this band."La Tourment Vert" is a gem right out of he darkwave 80s."

"They were really quite good. Their front man sort of reminded me of an upbeat Cure, (which is not to say that the band played happy feel good songs, they just didn’t play anything that made it feel like suicide was the best alternative, like the Cure can do), and I really enjoyed their set."
