Drops a fuzzy-on-the-inside seed,
Sycamore, camo-colored tree.

Sweetgum, sweetgum, up so high,
Got no branches I can climb.
5- or 7-point star-shaped leaves,
spellin’ S-W-E-E-T.
Little spiky seeds come down in the fall,
Sweet gum, trunk so straight and tall.

Tulip poplar, sweet gum twin,
Same type of trunk and similar skin,
But don’t be stumped, ‘cause there’s a mark
In the valleys of the poplar bark.
Silver dust, chalk dust, marks the one,
Tulip poplar, baskin’ in the sun.

Flaky-bark bottom, smooth at the top,
